Bar exam results out 6 p.m.—SC spokesman
MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE 2) Results of the bar exams taken in September 2008 is expected to be released later Friday, a spokesman for the Supreme Court said.
Aside from the Supreme Court website, the names of the successful examinees will also be posted on INQUIRER.net, said lawyer Midas Marquez.
Marquez said the original 4 p.m. announcement of the results was moved to 6 p.m. due to a delay in “decoding” or a system where the answer sheets are matched with the names of the examinees.
The number expectant examinees is starting to swell at the Supreme Court as they await the release of the results, raio reports said.
Meanwhile, another source at the high court confirmed the 20 percent passing rate in this year’s bar exams.
The same source also said that the passing rate was lowered to 72.5 percent this year from 75 percent last year on all the eight subjects in the tests.
A total of 6,364 took and finished the four-Sunday examinations in September last year.
